You learned why self-care is so important. Are you wondering if you can self-coach yourself to a better and more fulfilling life? You can with the help of the right learning materials and resources provided by a life coach or self-development coach. You can build the customized, self-care routine you need to excel.
There are several reasons that I enjoy coaching myself. When I do it all myself and succeed, I know it is all from my own hard work. Also, I enjoy being my own coach because it is so much easier to take my own feedback on an action plan. I also love being my own cheerleader. I am always looking for ways to improve myself, and that is a great win-win for me. Self-care is an important part of our lives for women, men, and non-binary people.
Although we may not realize it, self-care has become a commodity in today’s society. We are expected to take care of others, and we often feel guilty when we take care of ourselves. Self-care should be a personal choice. Whether you work full-time or part-time, have one person to take care of or ten, there is a way to make time to take care of yourself.
The key is to find what works for you. Don’t forget to take care of yourself and your needs! Take a couple of minutes each day to do something that makes you feel good. This could be anything from a long hot bath, to watching a movie, to going for a walk. Be creative! Some people find that writing in their journal is helpful. It can be as simple or as detailed as you want it to be.
There are myriad reasons to choose self-coaching as a starting point, here are a few of them:
1. You want to go it alone.
Coaching yoursel fcan help you set and achieve goals with minimal or no assistance. It’s not unusual to be hesitant about opening up to a coach or guide. With self-coaching, you can take on all the accountability and motivation to follow through with a professionally developed program. You can opt-in to ongoing community challenges when you want a bit of assistance with moving forward.
2. You don’t have money to spend
Self-coaching is less expensive. Working one on one with a coach, instructor, mentor or counselor will lead to faster results. But if you are willing to trade the time it will take to reach transformation for cost, self-coaching can lead to the same destination. Self-coaching generally costs much less than working one on one with a coach, instructor, mentor, or counselor.
3. You prefer to be you own accountability coach
Self-coaching helps you develop personal discipline and follow-through for long-term success.
4. You don’t have control over your schedule
Self-coaching is scalable. You can invest as much or as little time on any given day or week to work on your goals.
5. You want to be ambitious
If you want to be a billionaire, you will likely find that most coaching programs aren’t set up for such extreme goals.
6. You want to define what transformation means
If your goal is highly specialized and doesn’t fit into a generic niche such as business or well-being, you will likely find that most coaching programs lack specialized tools to help you succeed.
Self-coaching can lead you to make huge improvements in your life. Setting you on an exciting path of possibilities!
